In this role, you’ll conduct independent reviews of electrical engineering design documentation and assess project construction activities, including on-site inspections and report preparation for solar PV projects undergoing financing, tax equity, sales, or acquisition. You’ll support multiple projects simultaneously for a diverse client base. This full-time remote position in the US involves around 25% travel. The salary ranges from $100,000 to $130,000, plus bonus and benefits.

Responsibilities
Conduct detailed technical review and independent assessment of solar PV electrical engineering design and construction documentation, end-to-end
Conduct on-site construction monitoring to assess compliance with design drawings and specifications, good construction practice, and adherence to QA/QC programs
Act as a key stakeholder in meetings and conference calls with lenders, investors, developers, contractors, and engineers regarding electrical engineering technical reviews and construction issues
Prepare detailed reports of electrical engineering design reviews, project documentation assessments, and construction monitoring
Requirements
B.S. degree in electrical engineering, with focus on power system engineering
PE License
5+ years of experience in the design, procurement, and construction of utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation facilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate complex engineering, construction, and operational issues to non-technical folk
Experience with SKM PowerTools, ETAP, DigSilent, EMTP, or similar power system analysis software
