Join an established French renewable energy developer with a healthy pipeline of projects across the country. As part of their continued expansion, they are looking for a Land Scout with 1-3 years of experience to join their team remotely. The role will focus on identifying and securing land suitable for the development of renewable energy projects, particularly solar PV and wind.
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess potential land sites across France for solar PV and wind energy projects.
- Conduct thorough site evaluations, considering grid access, land size, environmental constraints, and local regulations.
- Build and maintain relationships with landowners, local authorities, and stakeholders.
- Negotiate and secure land agreements for renewable energy development projects.
- Work closely with internal teams (development, legal, and technical) to evaluate the feasibility of selected sites.
- Conduct regular site visits to gather critical information and monitor potential locations.
- Stay up-to-date with local zoning laws, environmental legislation, and land-use regulations.
- Assist in mapping and creating land acquisition strategies to support the growth of the company’s project pipeline.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in land scouting, land acquisition, or a related field, preferably within renewable energy.
- Strong knowledge of French land-use regulations and environmental considerations for renewable projects.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to establish rapport with landowners and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
- Ability to assess and evaluate site feasibility from a technical and regulatory perspective.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in French is essential; proficiency in English is desirable.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across France.
