Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full life cycle of solar PV projects, from site identification and feasibility studies through to securing grid connections, permits, and other approvals.
  • Oversee project assessments, due diligence, and risk analysis to ensure technical, financial, and environmental viability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, landowners, consultants, and grid operators to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Negotiate land lease agreements and secure rights for project sites in collaboration with legal teams.
  • Navigate the permitting process in Germany, ensuring all local and national regulations are adhered to, including zoning, environmental assessments, and construction permits.
  • Liaise with governmental bodies and energy regulators to keep projects compliant and aligned with relevant policies.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments, including engineering, legal, and finance, to drive projects forward.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and contractors, ensuring the highest standards of project execution.
  • Monitor market trends, including regulatory changes, and identify new business development opportunities in the solar PV sector in Germany.
  • Support the expansion of the company’s project pipeline by identifying and evaluating new project sites and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in solar PV project development, preferably within the German market.
  • Strong knowledge of Germany's renewable energy policies, permitting processes, and grid connection requirements.
  • Experience negotiating land agreements and securing necessary permits.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both German and English.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
