We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Development Manager based in the Lombardy region. In this role, you will lead the origination and development of renewable energy projects from early-stage scouting through to Ready-to-Build (RTB). You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Project Scouting & Origination: Identify and evaluate potential sites for renewable energy projects, conducting feasibility studies and initial assessments.
- Development Management: Oversee the development process from early-stage conceptualisation to RTB, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and timeline objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with local authorities, landowners, and community stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and secure necessary permits.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial modeling and risk assessments to support project viability and investment decisions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project transition from development to execution.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that impact project development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in project development within the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, or BESS).
- Strong understanding of the project lifecycle and renewable energy regulations in Italy and Europe.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and community engagement.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
