Our client is a dynamic and growing Independent Power Producer (IPP) operating in the renewable energy sector, with projects in wind, solar PV, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across Europe. They are seeking a Senior HR Manager to join their team, with the ideal candidate being instrumental in developing and leading the company’s HR strategies, fostering a productive work environment, and supporting the organisation’s growth across multiple geographies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business objectives, particularly focused on rapid growth and expansion within the renewable energy sector.
- Provide leadership in recruitment, talent management, and workforce planning to support the scaling of the company’s operations across Europe.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts, including attracting top talent in renewable energy sectors such as wind, solar, and energy storage.
- Collaborate with hiring managers across different regions to develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Act as a strategic partner to leadership and department heads in addressing employee relations issues and promoting a positive work culture.
- Oversee the development and implementation of training, development, and career progression initiatives.
- Drive the performance management process, ensuring it aligns with business goals and employee development needs.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all levels of the business to ensure the company fosters an inclusive culture.
- Develop initiatives to support gender and diversity targets within the renewable energy sector.
- Oversee compensation structures and benefits packages, ensuring they are competitive within the renewable energy sector.
- Conduct periodic reviews of pay equity and make adjustments to ensure fairness across regions.
- Implement programmes to promote employee wellbeing, engagement, and retention in line with the company’s commitment to sustainable business practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior HR Manager or similar role, ideally within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, with experience managing HR across multiple European countries being highly desirable.
- Experience with HR systems and tools, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a focus on strategic and operational HR.
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability is a plus.
